One more sleep to go till our cruise, Georgia is eagerly packing her suitcase. We are all so excited and looking forward to this. We are heading off to the Whitsunday’s on the Pacific Dawn at 2pm tomorrow. Very excited about going to the Whitsundays as I spent a lot of time there in my early 20′s when I was working on Hayman Island and even had my 21st birthday in Airlie Beach. All the kids are going which is awesome!!!
Today in preparation for our cruise were are going on this weekend, the girls and I went to the Hairdressers to get our hair done. The lovely Jess from Bella Boutique did a wonderful job. Madi and I both got a colour and and Georgia a new style. Madi has the most amazing gorgeous long hair and the colour just sets it off.
I photographed this family whilst they were staying down at the beach for their annual Christmas holiday, I have photographed them several times before and it was nice to see them and for them to get some updated images of their girls.
I met this family a couple of years ago under very sad circumstances when I did a Heartfelt session when they lost their darling little boy Harrison, 28 hours after he was born. It was one of my earlier sessions that I did for Heartfelt. My heart went out to them. Since loosing her baby ‘Harrison’ Mel has started up ‘Harrison’s Little Wings Charity Inc. She created this charity in memory of her son and as avid scrapbooker, she embarked upon creating special photo frames and 6 x 6 scrapbook albums and donates them to the hospital so as to support other families who may be in a simliar situation and going through the hardest time of their lives. I was so please when she contacted me recently and asked me to photograph her family, she also wanted to incorporate Harrison into the session as well which was just lovely. Such a lovey family who has been through such a heartache.
Today was wickedly hot out this way, very close to if not 40 degrees, of course this was the day I go to use the air con (which I rarely do) and of course it doesn’t work. Georgia had Lauren over so they went for a dip in the pool and splashed around for awhile.
