mine – the everyday stuff

Over the last two years  I have made a promise to myself that I am going to take more photos of my family which with the help of an awesome project called Project life  http://www.beckyhiggins.com/products/ I can do this. I am on my second year of this where I take a snap of my family in everyday life everyday to put in my album, I gotta say I love it and know a few years down the track my kids will appreciate it also. The photos don’t have to be perfect which is a lot of the reason I can do this as  being a photographer I spent too much time trying to get the perfect image but then that made it all too hard and i found I was getting behind on it, so now quite often I use my little Point and shoot camera which i always have in my handbag (which I think every mum should have one, you just never want to miss a photo opportunity) having said that camera phones are getting better these days too. Any way I am getting off topic a bit here, after ‘Project life’ I still have heaps of photos of my kids on my computer that I don’t do anything with (sound familiar….) so as well as my ‘Project life’ this year I decided to  make a family yearly album which I will get printed at the end of the year and it will hold photos of thing’s like days at the beach, birthdays or anything special we do together. (for this I will be using my good camera, god knows it cost me enough so I may as well use it) this album will be something I can give my kids as keepsakes and the grandparents will love them!!  So that said, I will post them every now and then on here, I will try not to bore you with photos of my kids, he he!  Here is a page I did from last week when we went down the Gold Coast for the day, we took Madi’s BFF Arielle and this old tandem bike we had, the girls had a blast.

  • LOVE these Jen, they look great! Really pretty pics of the girls :)ReplyCancel

  • Such beautiful girlies. Love these captures, esp for some weird reason all the bicycle tyre ones. The girls are getting so big Jen.ReplyCancel

That’s great Jen! I agree, falling behind on my project too. So I’m going to carry my point and shoot everywhere from now on. :)ReplyCancel
